Because summer is better together.
This July we're taking the dutch Brazilian Zouk & Lambada community outside: To the beach!
Join us for a relaxed, fun and sunny community day at Down Under Nieuwegein, one of the most fun beach spots near Utrecht.
No classes, no structure, also NOT a social. Just good music, good food, good people, and that Brazilian summer energy we all love to get to know each other better 💛
What to expect
🎵 Music by DJ Spotify & DJ Soundcloud/Mixcloud. Upload your favourite tracks in our Community Playlist!
🍉 You bring snacks to share with the group
💧 You bing your own drinks
☀️ Many options for activities: swimming, beachvolleybal, SUP boarding, Aquapark, chilling in the sun — the day is yours! You can arrange anything you like for yourself, see options below, or just come to hang out with your favourite people.
🍽️ Optional: stay for dinner at the Down Under restaurant. Cynthia will be arranging reservartions closer to date through our Whatsapp Community.
This is a free-format day — come for an hour or stay all day. Bring your dance friends, bring your kids and partner, bring anyone who deserves a good summer day 🌊

📍Down Under Nieuwegein Ravensewetering 1, 3439 ZZ Nieuwegein (5 minutes from the A2, A12 and A27)
📅 Saturday 18 July 2026
⏰ 13:00 — 18:00 the beach closes and we can head to the restaurant for dinner.
🎟 Entrance fee is€5,00 per person (beach day ticket, paid at the entrance — card only. This fee is for entrance to Down Under, not Utrecht Zouk)
Good to know:
Beach beds & parasols available to rent on site (€7,50 per piece)
SUP boards available to rent (€10,00 per hour)
Aquapark available on site (separate ticket)
The beach is only open in good weather — in case the weather turns out to be bad, we have to cancel this event.
No reservation needed — just show up and find us! 🙌
Everybody is welcome! This is not a strictly Utrecht Zouk event, but a nation-wide gathering for good fun and laughter.
Down Under is only open in good weather when the green flag is out. In case of bad weather we will communicate via our WhatsApp Community group.
