Brazilian Zouk Essentials

Level 1 - Fridays, 19.00h - 20.00h

Beginners Level, required for access to level 2 and up.

Start & Duration: Friday 12 September, 14 weeks

This course contains all essential Brazilian Zouk fundamental patterns and techniques and cannot be skipped! You'll learn all the basics and start to create variations to get comfortable on the Brazilian Zouk dancefloor. In our classes we focus on the structure and the technique of the movements, quickly enabling you to to let your creative mind flow and start playing around with the building blocks you've learned.

Brazilian Zouk Foundations

Level 2 - Fridays, 20.15h - 21.15h

Open to everybody and only after completing Level 1.

Start & Duration: Friday 12 September, 14 weeks

Continue learning new footwork technique and patterns, and create new combinations with the patterns you already learned. This course continues to expand and train the many variations that makes Brazilian Zouk such a versatile dance, and you'll learn and train the important fundamental techniques which you'll need to continue your Brazilian Zouk journey in a comfortable way.

Flow, Frame & Head Movements

Level 3 - Fridays, 21.30h - 22.30h

Open to everybody and only after completing Level 1, great option to combine with level 2.

Start & Duration: Friday 12 September, 14 weeks

Add flavor to your dance by incorporating new dynamics and body movements. This requires a more in-depth understanding of frame and connection, and training your body for the body movements. In this course we will also introduce the concepts of linear and circular head movements. Additionally we add some musicality to the mix, making this course super fun and challenging.

Headmovement Variations

Level 4 - Tuesdays, 20.15h - 21.15h

In this course we continue learning and training the iconic head movements in Brazilian Zouk and create endless variations. This requires a good understanding of footwork, frame, and a general control of your body, for which we provide the foundations in our primary level classes.

In Level 4 we will be improving our fundamental techniques, learn new - more advanced - techniques and cool combinations which you can directly take to the dancefloor.

Advanced Lab

Level 5 - Tuesdays, 21.30h - 22.30h

Let's get straight to the point: This class is our highest level class and it is designed for the advanced dancers of our community, who are really motivated to train hard, weekly, with dedication and commitment, and are searching for additional challenges outside of our other weekly Brazilian Zouk classes.

Expect intensive training and a focus on refining complex techniques. We encourage a collaborative environment where dancers can share ideas and explore new possibilities together.

Term Special: Lambada

Progressive Lambada - 19.00h - 20.00h

The energy, the flow, the fire - Lambada is here to stay! After an incredible first season, we’re beyond excited to continue bringing this beautiful dance to Utrecht!

Our Open Level Progressive Lambada course is designed for Brazilian Zouk dancers looking for a technical challenge or dancers with some Lambada experience who want to refine their skills. This course is not for complete beginners, but if you’re comfortable with Zouk fundamentals and ready to explore Lambada’s unique structure, rhythm, and dynamic movements—this is for you!
