This summer we’re doing things a little differently…

Ready to challenge yourself, step outside your comfort zone and take your social dancing to the next level?

The Spotlight Lab is a special 3-week summer challenge track for intermediate/advanced dancers who want to grow their creativity, musicality, adaptability and confidence on the dancefloor ✨

This track is inspired by the skills needed for Jack & Jill competitions, but it is absolutely notjustfor competitors! Whether you actively compete or simply want to become a stronger, more expressive and more versatile social dancer, this track is designed to push you beyond your usual patterns in a playful, challenging and supportive environment.

Over 3 Tuesdays we’ll work on:

✨ WEEK 1 - EXPRESSION & CREATIVITY - 30 June

How do you find your own voice in the dance?
We’ll explore creativity, intentional movement, freestyle exercises and ways to become more expressive and authentic in your dancing.

🎵 WEEK 2 - MUSICALITY & TIMING - 7 July

Learn how to connect deeper with the music, your partner and your own movement choices.
We’ll challenge your timing, musical interpretation and adaptability in social dancing.

🏆 WEEK 3 - JACK & JILL SIMULATION NIGHT - 14 July

A full Jack & Jill competition simulation experience - including prelims, spotlight finals, judges scoring sheets and all the exciting energy that comes with it 👀🔥

A safe space to experience pressure training, spontaneity and growth while having a LOT of fun together.

✔ Become a more adaptable social dancer
✔ Learn to dance outside choreography & patterns

Due to the nature of The Spotlight Lab, it is only possible to register together with a partner (leader + follower). During the classes we will be switching partners, however it is also possible to choose to dance with your chosen partner during the classes.
