UZ Presents: Ingrid & Rhawann - Lambada Weekender
They’re Brazilian researchers, cultural educators and have lived 15 years of Lambada and Brazilian Zouk from the inside out.
Some teachers give you steps.. Ingrid and Rhawann give you understanding, with love.
With roots in Renata Peçanha's renowned Brazilian dance company in Rio de Janeiro and over 15 years of experience in Lambada and Brazilian Zouk, Ingrid and Rhawann have spent their careers going deeper than the surface of the dance. They are the creators of Beyond the Steps, a concept that invites dancers to understand the music, history and culture behind what they're dancing, not just the movement itself.
They are also the founders of Tropicália Cultural, dedicated to preserving and promoting the living culture of Lambada and Brazilian Zouk in Brazil.
And this November, they're coming to Utrecht 🔥
Beyond the Steps
Ingrid and Rhawann's approach is rooted in fundamentals, musicality, structures and freedom of interpretation, exploring what exists beyond traditional sequences. Their work develops dancers who are not just technically capable, but conscious, autonomous and deeply connected to what they're dancing.
Expect to leave with more than new moves. Expect to leave with a new way of feeling the Lambada!
