Cynthia Kruissink

I'm the Community Manager at Utrecht Zouk, which means I'm the person working behind the scenes to make sure this space feels like home. I write the newsletters, help shape how we communicate as a school, and make sure you know what's happening and why. But I'm also here as a trusted contact person — someone you can talk to when things feel off, when you're navigating something difficult in the community, or when you just need someone to listen.

I teach alongside Lisa, and I've been dancing Brazilian Zouk for three years now after 14 years in contemporary, modern and jazz.

Dance communities only work well when people feel safe, seen, and connected, not just to their dance partners, but to each other as humans. That's what I'm here to help build.

I also offer private 1:1 sessions and group workshops for dancers who want to go deeper. Whether that's developing more authentic expression, understanding patterns that show up in your dancing (and your life), or exploring what dance is asking of you beyond technique. I work with NLP, systemic approaches, and breathwork (all areas where I'm certified), but the work is always grounded in dance and in who you are as a person.
